How do I only install ActivTools over my network?

When installing ActivDriver over a network, different components of ActivDriver will install on the target computer. Some of those components are only needed for use with older Promethean products (also called ‘Legacy products’).

With newer Promethean interactive displays, the ‘ActivTools’ component of ActivDriver is the only one that needs to be installed. This applies to products from the ActivBoard Touch and ActivPanel ranges onwards.

Network administrators who want to only install ActivTools on Windows computers silently with no reboot can do so using the following switches:

msiexec /i <file path> /qn /norestart ADDLOCAL=”FEAT_Tools”

• <file path> indicates the location of the .msi file.
  Example: msiexec /i c:\ActivDriver\ActivDriver_5_18_12_x64.msi /qn /norestart ADDLOCAL=”FEAT_Tools”

NB: The ActivManager icon will not appear in the taskbar until the target machine has been rebooted.
